"I came to see Holly over a year ago to help me cope with the shock and trauma of losing my Mum suddenly in an accident. I was at an absolute loss and didn’t know what to do or how I was going to cope. I was completely at sea and didn’t understand my thoughts and emotions. I suppose I thought I was looking for grief counselling but Holly gave me so much more. I think the really vital things were how she helped me to understand how the brain works and therefore what was going on. With that understanding, I was better placed to move forwards and able to cope with the multitude of practical and emotional things that a sudden death of the most important person in your life throws up. Everything from dealing with all her things, her clothes, her house, her car, her animals, the funeral, the inquest, the scattering of ashes, the anniversaries, the memories and the shock and trauma of an accident and all that that entailed. With the accident and the trauma, another unexpected aspect was all the other issues that it threw up, of things that I hadn’t dealt with in the past. Holly helped me understand and learn to deal with and move forward from all of this.
Holly’s positive and solution focussed approach is amazing because it helps you look forward to the future and focus on plans and dreams again. However, as part of the processing, it’s helpful to be able to explore different issues at each session and to come out with an understanding and perspective. There isn’t anything that’s ‘off limits’, everything can be discussed and explored but every time you leave Holly’s therapy room you feel re-built and restored, ready to face the day and week ahead. The relaxation aspect of the therapy is also vital as it’s part of switching everything off and then re-booting. In addition, it’s so helpful to have Holly’s audible relaxation downloads to listen to at any time of day or night when you need it, they really keep you on track if you’re having a wobble. I will be eternally grateful to Holly, she is the most amazing person who I believe could help absolutely anybody whatever they are going through and whatever their age. She is warm, calm, confident, knowledgeable, funny and just has the most amazing ability to tune into the individual and give them what they need."Anonymous for privacy
"I came to Holly after the sudden loss of my Mum in an accident. I was devastated and broken, I didn’t know what to do and didn’t understand what was going on.
Holly helped me to understand how the brain works and with that understanding of the brain and it’s a response to grief, I was able to gain perspective and to rebuild my life and move forwards."Anonymous for privacy
"I have finished my exams and feel they went really well thanks to your sessions over the last few months. Without them I think it would have been a different story. You helped me to get through my exams and taught me how to manage my stress. Helping me to relax and focus on not only my exams but other things I enjoy such as sports. The things I have learnt from you I will carry forward and am sure they will help me in the future.
I would highly recommend your service to any young person suffering from exam stress. I wish I had seen you sooner."Alex
"I went to see Holly Stone, originally to get help with getting to sleep, but found that I seemed to manage that on my own before the first session. I then decided that I would prefer to concentrate on losing weight, since I have been struggling to do this for some time now. I signed up for 3 sessions. The first half hour of each session consisted of her explaining how the brain works, particularly two parts of the brain including the hypothalamus and the limbic system. These two often interact with each other and influence our behaviour, such as whether we need to eat in order to survive or whether we should eat less and more healthy foods, as it's better for us. I never actually knew whether I was hypnotized or not. Holly did say that I will at times hear what she was saying to me and other times my mind would drift off to other thoughts, but my subconscious mind would still hear her words. I must have been hypnotized, however, as it had successful results in changing my behaviour with regards to my eating habits and desires. I find it much easier now to resist temptation and take charge on my eating. It started out slowly and eventually became easier and more automatic. I've managed to lose more weight in just a few weeks than the entire period of being a member of Weight-watchers. Holly has really helped me a great deal, and I would highly recommend her for helping people to overcome fears or to improve one's lifestyle, etc."

"During a very difficult time in my life I found myself gripped with fear, anxiety and self doubt. I wasn’t sleeping properly and I cried a lot. Just as I was feeling overwhelmed and searching for help, Holly came to my rescue. Her solution focused hypnotherapy treatment changed how I felt within a short time, and the experience was very pleasurable. Holly is naturally a very empathetic and caring therapist who I would recommend to anyone who is struggling with emotional turmoil."

"Holly has this wonderful ability to explain why our brains work they way they do, how important sleep is to our overall well being and how solution focused hypnotherapy helps de-stress and change our perspective on things. She is friendly and approachable. I would say most of us have a little bit of “madness” in our lives and working with Holly turns madness into calmness and contentment."

"I have been seeing Holly for a couple of months now and find her approach and sessions fantastic. I was a real sceptic about the process when we started but have found treatment of great benefit and would recommend both her and the treatment to anyone. Thank you Holly."
