It was October 2019 when I first noticed that we had a problem ( I often ask myself why I hadn't seen the signs earlier, and remind myself that it doesn't matter) and since then we have fought "Damien" (our name for it) and Won!
It became clear that Youlanda just did not understand why you would go for a walk only to return to your starting point. This concept just did not make any sense to her. She explained that if she was going to walk anywhere it had to be to a certain place where she was then going to stay; like work, shopping, seeing a friend etc. Never, just walking for walkings sake.
I don't know about you but there appears to be a great deal of irrational (mindless) behaviour being demonstrated at the moment. I didn't plan to mention Coronavirus but even when I googled the word "panic" in search of images for this blog the top line had Coronavirus. It's everywhere at the moment and it's a problem.

As I got more tired I became increasingly negative in my thinking.
This is one of the reasons in my work that I don't try to find the root cause of my client's issues. We can often cause more upset and damage in trying to do so. We just need to acknowledge that there dis problem and work together to solve it.
